A South Korean boy band named BTS has swept the globe. Seven individuals make up the group: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. What does BTS stand for? The answer is straightforward: BTS is the abbreviation for the Korean word Bangtan Sonyeondan, which means literally "Bulletproof Boy Scouts." The moniker represents the group's intention, in the words of member J-Hope, "to block off preconceptions, critiques, and aspirations that aim on youths like bullets." BTS declared a revamp of their logo and the expanded meaning of the letters B-T-S in 2017. The ARMY clearly understands the message of resiliency that BTS is trying to convey, judged by their enormous fan following.
